At times, living in the Silicon Valley, you’d think that we’ve been immune to the wrath of economic downturn. Large corporations are still thriving, new businesses are popping up, and home prices in the coveted areas (like Palo Alto) have not dropped [Side note: Yes it is still over $1M for a 1000 sq ft home in that area].

And yet, some of my favorite restaurant establishments have gone away. One was Bueno Bueno, an uber fabulous burrito place that delivered on their veggies and offered spinach tortillas and also vegan fare. One day I was craving the Mexi-goodness, and they were simply gone. Poof! Vanished! Had I known they were in economic strife, I would have gladly ponied up some investor money to keep them in business longer. You think I’m joking, but I’m quite serious. I never joke about Mexican 
Wouldn’t you know, another favorite burrito and wrap locale, Rojoz, disappeared into the ether. It was a mainstay next to Stanford’s campus and had an unparalleled menu when it came to worldly and creative flavors.
One sad day, I walked to the establishment and it was pizza. WTF? Pizza!?! Really? Dashed and disheartened, I thought of moving to a land where business specializing in tortilla wrapped goodness would never fail.
And then, totally through a radom conversation, my friend Kelley said that Rojoz did exist. [Jumping up and down in glee 
] and it was even closer to where I live. Winning!
It was a no-brainer to eat here for date night this week. I spent various parts of the day scanning the menu trying to decide which item to pick and narrowed down to 3 choices:

When we arrived, they had an unlisted wrap called the New Dehli which was much like the Taj Mahal only packed with more veggies and a curry sauce.

When I mapped out the location of the new Rojoz, I noticed there was an ice cream store right nearby. I like ice cream, but I don’t looooove ice cream. But, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t check out their website to see what flavors they offer.
Rick’s Ice Cream offered the flavor of all flavors: Blue Moon [angels are singing]
Do you know what Blue Moon is? It’s a beautiful concoction of all the yummy flavors mixed into one delicious dish. Don’t ask me to describe the flavor because it’s impossible.

The only other place I ever knew that Blue Moon existed was in Wisconsin from The Chocolate Shopppe. It was a mainstay of my young life.
So no matter the fact that I was having huge stomach issues yesterday, I perservered and ate my entire Rojoz wrap and then sought out a mini cup of Blue Moon ice cream. I declared Tuesday night the best date night ever!
