Good morning!
Doesn’t seeing “pictureless recap” just beg for you to read my post? Yeah, I didn’t think so. And it’s okay. I didn’t bring my camera cord with me. Whomp whomp….
So yes, I am still in Boston and sadly have to head back tomorrow. Luckily my bestie is coming to Cali this Friday for a wedding as well and will be staying with meeeeeee
The hubby and I arrived Thursday and immediately head up to Newburyport/Salisbury MA where the rehearsal party was on a beach. As much as I wanted to help our friends celebrate, I wasn’t too disappointed not seeing their pig roast and lobster fest. Though I do eat some pork (maybe 3-5x’s per year), I hate seeing the whole pig. It makes me sad
I know this topic spawned a lot of controversy recently on Tina’s blog on her Pig Party (just read all the comments..oye!).
Newburyport is an adorable New England town full of charm and great places to eat. Walking around and people watching was the perfect way to spend Friday.
Hopefully I’ll snag someone’s photos from Friday night’s wedding because it was gorgeous! The band and the booze definitely was the frosting on the cake — literally the best cover band I have ever heard. So so good! And I hear the booze was top notch … based on the silliness that ensued, I’m pretty sure everyone enjoyed
Saturday was back in Boston, more specifically Cambridge where we stayed in a quaint B&B, complete with a small grey cat, aptly called “kitty”.
After visiting Harvard Square and wandering the streets, we corralled a group of 12 for dinner at John Harvard’s (photos coming on WIAW). The group continued on to bar hop until closing though myself and another preggie bowed out gracefully at 1215a. You can only take so much ya know?
The bestie and I had grand plans of shopping on Newbury St on Sunday but Boston skies decided to explode with torrential downpours and our plans were thwarted. Boo, hiss. Instead we headed closer to her place in Bedford and did the mall thing. We had to get our shopping fix somehow.
With the whole growing belly thing, I’ve been looking for affordable dresses and cardis — this led us to Forever 21. And did you know that Forever 21 has maternity clothes? Who knew? Craziness! The stuff definitely was not the cutest, but they had some affordable leggings and tanks that I swiped up.
Speaking of maternity fashion and bumps, let me say thank you so much for your kind words on Thursday and Friday’s posts! It warmed my heart
And I may or may not have also got my first ever iced Dunkin Donuts latte! Yummmmm…I know this girl is quite obsessed
I was confused about the ordering…why do I have to ask for sweetened or unsweetened if I’m order a vanilla iced latte? Clearly I don’t have the lingo down.
Sunday night was spent chillin’ catching up on So You Think You Can Dance and the new season of Jersey Shore.
That brings me to today where I’m working from the comforts of the bestie’s home and, should the rain hold off, is close enough for me to walk to get another DD iced-latte –> Score!
How was your weekend?
What do you think of pig roasts?
Do you think it’s as weird as I do that Forever 21 has maternity clothes???
Stay tuned for seeing double on Shoes-Day tomorrow!
