Friday fun and some maternity fashion

This is going to be a short post friends.  I have other things to do with my day, like hanging out with this girl Open-mouthed smile  So excited.  On deck we have froyo, pedis, Starbucks, and baking planned.  Jam-packed goodness!

As for what I’ve been wearing – all the photos below are from this past week (my 33rd week or pregnancy).  Someone said in the comments the other day that being pregnant isn’t opposite of being fashionable.  I agree!  I may not be rocking anything super edgy or haute couture, but I’m workin’ with what I got Winking smile

Gap maternity black pants, Anne Klein blush pumps, light pink tank, and Forever 21 lacy light cream sweater (the lovely
Sara and I bough the same one last week in SF Smile )

Nov 8 2011
Motherhood maternity skinny jeans, Alfani camel boots, Gap peach maternity sweater, cream woven belt (from boutique in FL)

Nov 9 2011
Motherhood maternity grey jersey dress, Steve Madden Girl foldover boots, Forever 21 pink cardi

What do you think?  Are fashion and pregnancy mutually exclusive?

Tell me what Friday Fun you are having or plan to have!

PS Any interest in hearing about the breastfeeding class we went to last night?

A lovely ladies weekend

Hi again!

Welcome back to reality – hopefully everyone is well rested and rejuvenated from the weekend (especially after yesterday’s extra hour of sleep –> Red heart)

First I have to thank you for showing the bestie love for her fabulous news on Friday’s post Smile  You are the best!

Friday evening I had plans to meet some of the Foodbuzz ladies for a late dinner, but after a twitter frenzy on Friday, plans quickly changed and we decided to all meet up pre-Foodbuzz events in Union Square.

Pic thanks to Katie

Though our time was pretty short, I had such fun hanging out with these ladies (Me, Gina, Katie, Courtney, and Sara).  We barely could stop gabbing long enough to figure out what we wanted to do, but ultimately decided to do what we do best (second to eating): shopping!  We hit up the mecca that is Forever 21 and all scored some sweet purchases.  I only wish I had more time with them Sad smile  They are all faboosh Open-mouthed smile

Saturday my good friend Kim came up and visited from LA.  Not only was she in my wedding, but we also went to Kauai together in February (such fun!).

Even though Kim and I only live a short 50 minute Southwest flight apart, our busy schedules make it hard to get together as often as we’d like.  But when we do, we have a blast!  We chatter away for hours on end, which is just what we did  while doing a little shopping at the mall, eating Italian food, and making pumpkin cookies for no reason.

We also managed to indulge in two Starbucks runs for the ubiquitous red cup return.  And the introduction of the delicious Skinny Peppermint Latte (130 cals for a Grande Surprised smile).  Oh yeah, I see a lot of these in my future.

Sunday came all too quickly and was met with errands (grocery shopping), finishing baby shower thank you cards, working out, etc.  Why is Sunday such a chore day?  Bah humbug.

How did you spend your weekend?

Do Starbucks red cups allure you in?

What’s your least favorite Sunday chore?

It’s the little things

Welcome back from the weekend!

I hope you were able to spend a moment yesterday reflecting on the events that transpired 10 years ago.  I know I did.  My thoughts, prayers, and love go out to all those effected.

It’s for that reason that it’s important to remember the little things

It’s the little things that can make for a good day, a good weekend, a good life.

This weekend wasn’t anything special, but all the little things added up to make it good:

Friday after work was kicked off with my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season – altered to my liking of course:

Grande, non-fat, (decaf), 1 pump pumpkin spice, 2 pump vanilla latte with a drizzle of caramel on top.  So so delicious and not too sweet!  AND much less calories than the regular P-spice latte (my version is about 230 calories).

Next up was movie night – I love going to the theater.  I think I go for the popcorn Winking smile  Let’s just be real.  Oh and we went and saw Contagion

It was pretty good, but not great.  Sort of documentary in style and also a bit depressing.

Despite waking up before 7a on Saturday thanks to my dog and two cats, the rest of the day was also a WIN!

I started off my morning with a dog walk, cardio session and planks, and a trip to the nail salon equipped with a latte of course Smile  Fall colors now adorn my hands and feet!

Another little thing is that I decided on what purse to switch to for the Fall:

Sept 10 2011

You guys liked number 2 best and I agree!

Oh and another little thing I kinda sorta like – fitting into my size 1 American Rag jeans (shown above) at 25 weeks preggers Open-mouthed smile  Thank god for stretch in jeans!

I had my first Green Monster in a looooong time –> note to self: need more GM’s in my life. This mix was almond milk, banana, frozen spinach, and some hot cocoa powder.  Yum!

And I can’t forget that eating deep dish pizza was a huge little thing that made me very, very happy.  I love Patxi’s.  I really, truly do.

Oh and if you wanna know, I had 3 (THREE!) pieces of the pizza on the left.  AND I made room for Yoppi froyo afterward (they had peanut butter froyo).  My stomach is an incredible beast, I tell ya Winking smile

Last but not least – refreshing the hair color for Fall.  Back to brunette baby!

Pictures coming soon!!!

What’s one little thing that made you happy this weekend?
