Shoes-day Tuesday!

Hey there, Shoes-day Tuesday does exist!

Today I’m featuring a shoe every woman needs: the red pump.  I was without this much-needed shoe for several months since I went on a shoe purging spree and threw these red pumps away (they lost the rubber heel stop).   So when Zach and I visited the Gilroy Outlets after Thanksgiving, I honed in on Nine West for some classic, easy, every day type red heels.  Seek and you shall find:

These are a 7.5 and run true to size (as do most Nine West shoes, I’ve found).  The 3.5″ heel makes them quite comfortable for a 9+ hour day as well.  As for cost, because of the sales, I don’t quite remember, but I want to say I got them for about $50.  This style goes on sale quite a bit, so it’s pretty easy to avoid the $89 price tag if you keep your eyes peeled.

This is a way I’ve worn the shoes to work (black Limited pants, striped Gap sweater):

And on another note, I picked up a new scent.  I really wanted to get the Hanae Mori again (I’m nearly out), but Zach convinced me to get something new.  So I returned to Burberry Brit, though this time I got Sheer.  It’s slightly more floral than I’d normal get, but it’s fun and good for daily wear.

Favorite  color for a heel?  I have to say red or nude

Favorite scent? Vanilla, without a doubt

Shoes-day Tuesday

Hey there!

How long has it been since I’ve done a Shoes-day Tuesday post?  Too long. Pretty sure I said that the last time I did one too.  Apparently I need some new writing material so I’m not repeating myself.

Anyway, Tuesdays are a rather ho-hum day so it’s always fun to spice it up with a new pair of shoes, right?

It’s also fun to spice up an otherwise boring outfit with a patterned shoe, right?

Case in point

Black Limited pants, pink BCBG cap-sleeve sweater, NY&Co long necklace.  Basic.  Work appropriate.  And dare I say, boring! ;)

Enter in fun shoes:

Thanks to Shop It To Me, these popped up in one of my Sunday personal shopping emails. The $39 price tag made them a must buy (on sale from $79).  Nine West has been having fantastic sales on many of their shoe styles including this one, the Rocha.  I just got rid of my nude Nine West that were also Rocha and wore them into the ground.

And the added bonus is that these remind me a lot of a patterned pair of blue/grey/purple Nine West pumps I had about 8 years ago that I still miss!

Now I just need a new pair of shoes to jazz up my Wednesday…ha!

Are you a fan of the patterned or multi-color shoe?

What would make your Tuesday (or soon to be Wednesday) better?  I’d like a big ol’ piece of vanilla cake with a light layer of vanilla frosting and sprinkles.  Random I know.  But I want it.

PS Thank you for your kind words on my blonde hair. I’m getting more used to it each day :D

Shoes-day Tuesday!

Hi friends

How was your weekend?  And your Monday?  Mine were both pretty darn good.  Sawyer’s Poppy (my FIL) was in town and we spent majority of the weekend hanging outside (of Peets, ha!) in the sunshine and heat.  It felt oh-so-good.

Friday night, however, Zach and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary with a fancy dinner out.  I’ll recap our eats later, but for now, I want to finally show you my leopard pumps!

Apr 20 2012 shoes

Thanks to ShopItToMe, these shoes were just 1 click away from being purchased a few weeks ago.  They are Nine West Chesley leopard pony pumps with a maryjane strap, 1” platform and 4(+)” heel.  They retailed for $129, but I got them for $51 –> score!  I have been in search of a good leopard print shoe for some time and this one was too good to pass up.

This is what I wore with the shoes:

The striped tank and top are both from Express.  I went with a simple color palette since I was mixing patters.  I’m not the most adventurous gal when it comes to pattern combinations but this was in my ‘safe’ zone.

The best part?  The shoes were actually comfortable all evening!

What animal prints are you liking?

How do you mix patterns?  Send a link for great combos!
