Happy Shoes-Day Tuesday! Do you like my unnecessarily long title? Good ![]()
You know, every know and then I go through phases where I want to stop shopping and really capitalize on what is already in my closet. I found these shoes when I was planning my outfit out to see Cirque du Soleil last Friday. In the process I found several other super cute shoes that could use some lovin’.
This is what I wore:
The shoes are black Guess mock marjanes with a peep-toe. If they were more comfy, I’d wear these all.the.time. However, they push on my inside bone on my left food which makes for less-than-ideal long time wearing. Oh well
I paired them with a black pencil skirt and one-shouldered satin top (via Fabrik that I bought 1.5 yrs ago and never wore).
Let me talk about something else though. I thought my outfit was appropriate for the theater. I mean if you’re payin’ decent moola to go see a show, wouldn’t you dress up? Apparently I was one of the few people that thought so. Many attendees were wearing casual jeans and hoodies (hoodies, I tell you!). Ugh. I was quite disappointed that people didn’t have the respect for the arts. Yeah I said it. Just because the word “Cirque” is in the title, does not mean you are going to a circus with elephants and saw dust. Sheesh.
But then again, I’d rather be overdressed than underdressed.
What would you wear to a theater / performing arts show?
Do you prefer to be overdressed or under?
