On my mind

Hey there!

Another weekend gone by too quickly. And my little bean turned 7 months on Saturday. If that’s not a wake up call on how fast time is flying, I don’t know what is.

Instead of writing rambling paragraphs, I’ll give you the bulleted version instead:

It seems I successfully blogged on my Mac, though I’m having a hell of a time figuring out all the ins and outs.
No matter how many spin classes I go to, I seem to forget that wearing a thong is not a bright idea.
Mommy groups are so different now that babies are moving — it’s awfully hard to chase your baby with a glass of vino in your hand (I kid. Sort of.)
I ordered some new work-type clothes from Gap last week and am happy to say my old size fits! Wheeeeee!
However, a pair of shorts weren’t doing it for me so I returned them and bought a pair of white shorts and plaid button down…for Bean.
1 pump of vanilla in a latte is actually enough. This reduced sugar undertaking may just work.
Bubbles is a great name for a wine bar.
The Olympics opening ceremony was weird. And boring. The actual Olympics, however, are thrilling!
I’m finding a renewed love for Whole Foods. They have local (well Berkeley) tofu in amazing sounding flavors like jalapeño and garlic black pepper. Must buy some…
I have a really hard time living in the moment, but I don’t rectify this, I will miss relishing the days of my baby boy’s life. Sigh.
Sitting by a pool and reading has got to be one of the most relaxing weekend activities.
You’re never too old or too young for swings :)

And with that, I wish you a Happy Monday!

Tell me something random that’s on your mind — oddly this provides serious entertainment for me :P

  1. My mind has been all about nutrition lately in my quest to lose the baby weight. And I was all excited this weekend with the purchase of a new protein powder – GNC’s egg-based vanilla protein powder. Same stats as my typical whey protein, but was hoping to make the tot less gassy without all the lactose. Verdict? Not loving it. I was thinking it would taste just like regular protein powder and I put it in my oatmeal, but it actually tasted “eggy.” Fail. And a $50 fail I might add. :-/

    • I saw that on Tina’s blog and was totally intrigued, but hate the flavor of eggs, so I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t like it either. Sigh. Maybe you can pawn it off on Ilya?

      • I already asked. :-/ He said we should just return it. I guess GNC has a money-back guarantee, even if it’s been opened. Good thing! I’ll just trade it for the baby gas-inducing whey-based powder that I love. :)

  2. Oh my gosh he is so freaking cute! :)

Question, what blog software are you using for your mac?? I actually don’t have any special software, but I’m curious about what other people use!

  3. I have a hard time focusing on the now too, Shanna! Trying to work on that. Also been thinking a lot about how to make new friends in my new city. It’s so hard with work taking up most of my time!

  4. hahaha I just got back on my stationary bike this weekend after a couple months away from it, and oh my goodness my butt is hating me right now. Even sitting down is painful.

  5. LOL. This post made me laugh so much. You are too funny. I love gap clothing everything from their workout to their clothes for work. I could live in that store. And glad your old size fits! :)

  6. Ha ha, I went through the same thing when I got my Mac! And I still really really miss Windows Live Writer :( I thought the Opening Ceremony was weird too and the Parade of Nations? So long! But I loved the lighting of the torch and the actual events have me glued to the TV!

  7. Latte Delivery
