Hey there friends!
Monday again. My blogging is so sporadic lately. I go in spurts and though I had plenty to say last week, I found myself in a rut. This rut seems to be rearing its ugly head more frequently than I’d like. But that is another story.
Since last I wrote, I’ve gone to Spin class twice!
I rejoined my gym last Wednesday evening and am already happy with my decision to do so. I also utilized my work gym for a lunch workout on Thursday and had a personal training session on Saturday. It feels so good to have a consistent workout schedule, though mommy guilt is ever present (<—a topic I’ll post later this week).
Since last I wrote, Zach and I had a date night. We’ve had about a handful since bean was born and it feels like such a luxury to have a night out to ourselves. We were aiming for a movie, but Zach wants to wait until Magic Mike comes out {I kid}. I also got to break out some new colored denim:
Since last I wrote, I’ve managed to get two horrible stomachaches. I’m trying to pinpoint what it is that’s giving me such pain and I’m thinking either my beloved Think Thin bars or Smartdogs. Both of which would be a shame since I rely on them for my protein. It has given me reason to evaluate my eats as of late and it’s motivating me to eat as simple and minimally processed items as possible. I have to wonder if my recent ruts have something to do with diet as well.
Since last I wrote, Bean has tried fruits, in the way of pureed pears.
He ate them with his usual gusto. However, I’m suspending solids for a few days because of the ridiculous amount he is pooing – we’re talking upwards of 5x per day. That can’t be normal, right?
Since I last wrote, my laptop officially died. One minute it was working, the next the screen wouldn’t come on and the power would cycle on and off. Considering it’s about 6 years old, I shouldn’t be surprised. Zach is currently trying to save my life pictures & documents on my hard drive. He’s also trying to convince me to get a Mac. Admittedly I’m rather entranced by the MacBook Air. But buying a new laptop is duller than dull, in my opinion. I’d much rather buy some new shoes ![]()
What have you been up to since last I wrote?
What colored denim are you sporting? I’m still searching for some mint jeans.
PC or Mac?
It’s good to see you back hun. And YAY for Spin!
Loving the colored denim although I have yet to jump on that fashion trend this season. Glad you had a good weekend and little bean is doing well. He’s getting SO big!!
Girl you would look fabulous in colored denim..go for it!
Shannon, those pants are adorable!!! You’re rockin the colored denim!!
And, Mac, of course
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh. My iphone autocorrected “Shanna” to “Shannon”
*sigh* Forgive my un-knowing phone.
Haha, silly iphone
UGH- the lap top dying is the WORST. This reminds me that I really need to backup more than I do…
My car battery died. Does that make you feel better? It’s really not that much of an inconvenience being as how I’m 100% public transit to work now. But still. I have no idea what I want to do with it.
Oo bummer about the car..though a car battery is cheaper than a laptop..go figure!
I got a MacBook Pro last month after having a PC laptop (HP) for four years, and I absolutely LOVE it. Everything is so streamlined and easy to use. You’ll have fun exploring all it can do if you decide to go the Mac route.
Also – love the jeans! I’ve been searching everywhere for a pair of mint/aqua cropped ones, but have yet to be successful in finding them.
I have a HP currently and think I may be ready to switch to Mac..meep!
I’m going through the laptop stress myself these days. My current laptop is on the outs after only 4 years (don’t buy HPs). I’m thinking about getting a Macbook Pro, but i’m still on the fence due to the price, but from what i’ve heard it’s worth every penny. So if that means being able to store all my pictures and being able to edit them quickly without freezing (!!) it might be what I need!
Haha, I totally have an HP…I hear Macs are worth it too. Let’s both just go for it, shall we?
sounds like a great idea!
I’m rocking my turquoise jeans today and was just thinking I need another cool color! For so long I was very against Macs but then I got one and I understood why people love them so much. I say go for it!
I want mint and pink as my next colors since I have blue and yellow.
I wonder if I’ll appreciate all the Mac fuss if I get one…
I wanted to get a Mac, but they’re just too freaking expensive. Maybe one day.
I love the jeans. I love colored jeans, but I really just don’t think I’m cool enough for them.
They are pricier, but people *claim* they’re worth it…guess I’ll have to find out!
And Leah you are cool
Too adorable!
I have actually also been in a blogging rut…must be the thing…ha. Anyways. I want a pair of colored jeans, I think perhaps a pale yellow may look best with my skin tone. I don’t know for sure though.
They’d look great with your tan Hollie. I love my pale yellow ones!
I looooove my macbook! All the apple stuff is crazy expensive (I think it was like $80 just to replace a power chord) but it’s so sophisticated yet simple. I’ve never had problems with my macbook or the programs…
*cord
I do love all sleek and sophisticated Mac / Apple products are!
I have blue and yellow and am on a hunt for a light rose or mint green, too!
<3
They have a rose-y color at Express
You look great in colored denim!! Wish I had the legs to wear colored denim, but I don’t. I’ll stick to color on top
Please girl, you’re thinnner than me..you could rock them for sure!
Just saw these DIY mint jeans and thought of you!

You sound like me. I’ll find so much DIY stuff online, then end up searching for the final product on etsy instead.
