Shoes-Day!

Hey there!

Where the heck have I been?  Sheesh.  I just haven’t been feeling the blog thing so I didn’t write.  Simple as that, yup.

But I’ll catch you up more later this week.  For now, let’s get to Shoes-Day!

Post-pregnancy, I’ve rocked the heels a few times – I’d say about 30% of the time, you’ll find me in a heel higher than 2.5 inches.  The other 70% of the time, I’m either barefoot, in sneakers (gasp Surprised smile) or some sort of flat(er) shoes.

Problem is: I don’t have that many flat shoes.  Sooo, I’ve had to go shopping.  Oh darn Winking smile

A few weeks ago, I found these Anne Klein ballet slippers with about ~1.5” wedge at Marshalls:

As always, they were a steal at $30 (?) – 0riginally over $60!  I love that these don’t slip off my feet like completely flat ballet shoes, and the wedge gave them more appeal as well as comfort (for me).

Easy casual look that allows me to lug the car seat around with ease and walk a few miles to get my beloved daily lattes Smile with tongue out

I am looking for more medium-heeled wedged shoes – help me find some cute ones!

What are your favorite brand/style wedges?  Links welcome!

  1. I have some nice wedges – and they’re much easier to feel “dressy” in than regular flats. My favorites are Calvin Klein and Franco Sarto (both Macy’s).

  2. two things: 1. j crew italian leather ballet flats are heaven on my feet or for a splurge 2. repetto-they are the original ballet flats…absolute perfection!

  3. I LOVE flats/wedges – all styles, colors, etc. And those are really a steal. I need to shop at Marshall’s more.

  4. I don’t ware flats often because being just a shortie that I am, I usually like height but I do admit, they are so much easier to run around in.

  5. very cute! I am starting to wear less and less super-high heels. I’m already extremely tall, but my feet just can’t hang anymore. Wedges are a much more comfy alternative.

  6. Love your wedges, my Marshall’s didn’t have anything cute last week when I stopped in.

I like the new Banana Republic ballet flats, all leather, with a little bow. Very comfortable and cute! Good luck in your search :)

  7. Love those cute little ballet wedges! I struggle with the fact that all my pants are too long for flats. :-/ But I’m still on the lookout for more comfortable shoes. The leopard kitten heels I got last week aren’t bad (a bit too big in an 8, but they feel better than my super cramped 7.5 shoes).

  8. Can I just also make mention I’m digging the shirt as well? Cause I’m gonna…

  9. I have been having the hardest time justifying spending money on flats that I never wear. Ha I’d rather rock pumps then flats anyday. Those are so cute though!

  10. Ooo I love those flats!! I need to buy more as I broke the strap of my Jessica Simpson ones last year and haven’t gotten a pair since! :P I only have a few pair of wedges from Guess and Via Spiga – super cute and comfortable!

  11. I have the most darling pair of Tahari career wedges, but I can’t find them anywhere. If I ever see them again, I’ll buy 3 pair in every color. I only have black.

  12. I like those wedges! It’s hard to find shoes that are cute and functional at the same time, isn’t it?

  13. I LOVE those shoes!! I need to find a few pairs of flats, or small wedges that I can wear to work or when I’m out and about. All I have right now are boots, super high heels, and running shoes. I need a middle ground.

  14. My mom is like as big into shoes as you. I borrow hers like 3/4 of the time she gets the hottest shoes ever!!! Before the baby was born, she helped me organize my closets and found my flats and was like “ummm what are these??” ha! I was like, mom I’m pregnant cut me some slack! She’s tall too so she should wear flats, but refuses hahaha

I LOVE your wedges! I want them! I need to go to Marshalls and maybe if I’m lucky I will find something similar over here!

  15. i totally need some ballet flats that STAY on my feet! Those are adorable!
