It’s Tuesday Shoes-Day and I’m showing you a repeat wear of shoes. Next week you’ll get a new pair, I promise ![]()
Last week I had the pleasure of meeting up with four lovely new mamas and their babies for a play date. And really when babies are <3 months old, the ‘playing’ is nonexistent and it’s more of a chance for the moms to gab / vent / compare experiences. And I loved every minute of it.
Despite my lil soybean being less than 3 weeks old at the time, I have been fortunate to get in daily showers and time to put a little effort into my appearance.
The look includes grey foldover booties by BCBG (size 7.5), red Michael Kors short trench and a Kate Spade diaper bag. I call the look ‘mama chic.’ ![]()
Here’s a close-up of the booties:
My outfits haven’t been the most exciting couture lately, but my belief is skinny jeans, cute boots/booties and a structured top are great for a go-to look.
I may touch more upon my ‘looks of late’ in my 4 weeks postpartum update tomorrow.
In the meantime, what is your easy go-to look?
I love those booties! They’re so cute – I’ve been looking for something similar for ages, but I can’t find anything I like. For someone who spends most of her life in yoga pants, I’m strangely picky about my shoes.
Love the mama chic look.. you’re looking faboosh, Shan!
I LOVE that you’re a hot mama and not a frump
Most ladies change their ways into a comfy short haired wonder after their first love is born….not you hotstuff!!! RAWWWRR!!
xxxoo
Rawr..haha, love this..thanks Kris!
You are my idol!
You are by far the chickest mama out there – love the outfit and like I mentioned to you last week, love that jacket – beautiful color on you too
My easy go to look is leggings with a long sweater and knee high boots – super comfy and somewhat stylish – works like a charm every time
And you do the leggings/sweater/boots look so well! We must go shopping soon..I *hate* all my clothes :/
I wonder if the boys will wan to watch the soybean why we do that..hehe!
definitely momma chic! Lookin’ good shanna! love those boots!
You look great, lady! Love those boots!
I love those boots! Although, I can tell you this FOR SURE that if/when I have a baby there’s no way I’ll be pulling off heels like that! You are seriously devoted to your footwear, girl!
Probably because my shoes are the thing that still fits
Looking great! Love the shoes.
Love the boots and jacket! My go-to outfit is similar… boots, skinny jeans and usually a tighter dress/sweaterdress or long fitted top or dress shirt over it.
Awe girl that is so cute. Glad the play date went well! My go to outfit (in the winter) are boots, leggings, sweater and a scarf. So perfect.
You had a baby 3 weeks ago?! Work it! Love the entire outfit!
I like the “fold over” look on the boots. Surely there’s an actual name for it… I’m so out of the loop…
If you find the official name for foldover, let me know
Look at you, sexy mama! I love it! Those boots are adorable and the color of that trench looks amazing on you!
Thanks — it was a great find off of Ruelala
Love the booties, and I adore the term, ‘mama chic’
looking good! love the KS bag! i used to have a pair of booties exactly like those in college! miss them
I almost bought a pair of those booties in black, but didn’t. Seeing how cute your ensemble looks makes me have shoe regrets!
Maybe they’re still available!
My easy go to look is pretty similar. Jeans with wedge boots a cute top and a blazer. You look absolutely amazing!
This is exactly why us girls are obsessed with boot season, it completes the look and adds that extra stylish “oomph” to what could be a plain outfit. And those boots are so fun!!
Boots, skinny jeans, and a pretty scarf. Definitely my go-to outfit. And I love those gray booties – adorable!
You are so hott. I was so frump still at 4 weeks PP hahah. So jealous of your threads and those boots AND that you are having playdates already! i still can’t find any good ones that fit our sched
Need to move closer so we can do blogger playdates!
