Happiest Monday to you!
Thanks for all the happy tweets and messages for this past weekend’s baby shower. It was wonderful and I feel so blessed to have my awesome bestie Andrea make it happen
Hugs to you A!!! ![]()
The last few days have been a whirlwind of activity, but yesterday we were able to spend a little time indulging and relaxing which meant a trip to Chevy’s (A’s fave Mexi restaurant) and then to Yoppi for some froyo. Mexi and froyo in one day? Talk about winning! I didn’t take pictures – lame, but I was so over it. However, this is what I ordered:
Hot damn, these were good. Apparently I need to go to Chevy’s more often!
Froyo was also lovely. I almost went back for seconds. You see, I did my normal taste test and they just happened to have pumpkin pie flavor. It was tasty. But then that need for chocolate toppings took over (Shayla knows what I’m taking about) and I went with cookies and cream topped with cookie dough, butterfinger, reeses pieces, and oreos…and some caramel sauce
Well then after I was done, I was thinking of an awesome combo:
- Pumpkin pie froyo topped with cinnamon life crunch, granola, and graham crackers crumbs, drizzled with caramel sauce—> Tell me that doesn’t sound like perfection?!?! Sigh. Next time.
Okay so yeah, yesterday alone could cause any waistline some growth, but I’m talking about some other kind of growth. You know – that baby kind?
Last week I snapped a picture (30.5 weeks) and recalled a picture I took in July when I was about 17 weeks, wearing the exact same jeans. Check out how much GROWTH I’ve had … MEEEP! ![]()
Yowsa right? I have to say, I sort of love the belly. Maybe not the bigger arms or thighs, but I do love the belly ![]()
Alright, tell me what maybe made your pants stretch a little this weekend?
What part of your body do you love?
Love the bump! You are too cute!
…. My weekend is just starting today, and I ate nothing bad on the “real” weekend…. so I’m making up for it with a beer, burger and fries while watching the game tonight!
Yay Becca — that sounds like a good night ahead.
(And thank you
)
I love your bump Shanna, you look so very cute!
And I most definitely know what you’re talking about
The chocolate toppings always win however that pumpkin pie creation sounds amazing – next time!!
I’ve found that Chevy’s is hit or miss and I have to say the last couple times we’ve gone they’ve been definite hits! I think this past year the quality of food and menu items has definitely improved – your dish sounds delicious and I always like to get the fajita chicken salad – super good!
I’m so happy to hear you had a fantastic baby shower and had such great quality time with family and friends
Luckily I picked up some “Pilgrim Joe’s” pumpkin ice cream (from TJs) and had a couple of bites of that at home — it satisfied that urge…for now
I think I lucked out at Chevy’s this time — the last time I had went (a few years ago) I wasn’t impressed. It’s hard though because there are soooo many good mexi restaurants in the area to choose from!
Pizza last night has made mine stretch a bit, but it was totally worth it! I would have gone back for that second froyo too, btw. That combo sounds fantastic!! You’ll just have to go back now and try it out
Mmmm pizzzzzaaaaa. I have a more than mild obessesion with it as of late!
And yes I will have to go back!
I love the belly! You look so good.
Thanks Leah!
Hugs back at ya S!! I had a fantastic weekend indulging and celebrating with the most fab mom-to-be on the planet. So much so, that Ilya even commented that he could see a change in my tummy size this morning. Guess I luv me some Chevy’s and froyo!
We all know that food baby will go away in no time. Still a few more weeks before we see true growth
XO A
Oh man I HAVE to try that fro-yo combo!!! I’d say my pants were stretched this weekend when I had these AMAZING truffle fries at this place in Charleston. It had Parmesan cheese and fried arugula on it. YUM to the max.
You look lovely!
Parm cheese and fried arugula on fries? Yes please!
Look at that bump! Too cute
And there were too many delicious words in that enchilada description to pass it up.
I know right! I love when they put real hearty veggies in a vegetarian meal!
I hope you had an amazing shower Shanna! And yes, it’s crazy how quickly we grow. Yikes! I’m hoping it comes off just as quickly
Let’s hope so Jen! It’s cute now, but I swear, there isn’t much more room in there!
awww stop you aren’t even that much bigger!
my weekend was amazing! we hit up a huge art supply store to make something together that ill share on the blog in a couple weeks. i will say this, tonight…we gesso!
Hmm, we “gesso” — I’m intrigued!
Can’t wait to see it!
You definitely are showing more, but I still don’t think your bump is even that big for being in week 30/31! I hope mine is still that small in 5 weeks! You look fantastic!!! I’m glad you shower went well, I’m excited to read the recap! Those enchiladas sound great as did your frozen yogurt! I agree that you dreamed up a great pumpkin combination!
I know, talk about some growth spurts. It’s crazy to see how small I was at 17 weeks compared to 31.
AWww yayy!!! So cuteee
I looovvvvee pumpkin froyo. It’s thee best!
I had a few treats this weekend too ;D
That was my first pumpkin froyo and it was definitely a winner
Glad you had a fun shower! It must have been so nice to spend time with family and friends. And you look amazing.
I can’t believe you’re already at 30.5 weeks! Time flies!
Thanks Parita — time does fly. I’m sure you know how it is with the move and the wedding planning
I think the baby must love mexican food.
I often say I produce a mexican baby after eating really good enchiladas so that must be the reason for the growth these past few week.
I’ve totally had the Mexi food baby
Yey! I am so glad you had an amazing baby shower! Will you be sharing any pics with us???
You look so amazing. Your arms and legs look no different! Still tiny!
Of course I’ll share pictures
And thank you for being so sweet — they are definitely all growing!
I like your baby bump pictures because YOU look adorable. I was with friends this weekend and a few are new mommies and one friend is 7 months. I can picture myself in the future dressing up the baby bump like you have been doing so stylishly
When I lived in San Diego, we had Chevy’s near our house and we went often. I love their unlimited chips and salsa. Now that I live in Orange County, we don’t have one close by and I don’t remember the last time we went.
OMG..I LOVE the bump!!!!!!!!!!!! Could you get any cuter?!!? Seriously!
