Happy Wednesday friends! It’s my Friday, don’t be to jealous
You see, Saturday is my baby shower, so tonight my Mom is arriving, tomorrow afternoon my MIL, and tomorrow night my bestie. Yipppeee!
But back to today’s topic at hand: SNACKS!
Pregnant or not pregnant, I’m a snacker. I like to eat a little something every 2-3 hours (lately it’s more like 1.5 to 2) so I’m constantly stocking up on easy-to-go items that can fit in my purse or in my desk drawer. Come on, tell me that you have a desk drawer at work filled with food
Another story for another time is about how I no longer have a snack drawer due to some pesky mice that went to town on my snacks. Watch out mousies – my wrath is way worse than a mouse trap (I kid, I kid).
Okay back to it.
I’m all about healthy snacks: apples, almonds, a short ingredient protein bar, but sometimes I want a snack that truly tastes like a snack. Below are my latest top snacks:
- Popchips! Thanks to Marssie, I was sent an entire box of these goodies! I had seen these little bags all over stores and the blogworld, but had yet to try them out. I’m officially hooked. I’ve had the Parmesan and the BBQ, while the hubby has had the Salt’n’vinegar. Verdict: awesome. I am now incorporating a bag a day in my life
Totally hits that salty-chip-craving, but in a healthier, lighter, low-cal form. WIN! And, what’s great is that they are from San Francisco – love supporting local companies!
- Candy corn: I’m an addict. I really am. It’s my favorite seasonal candy and it’s not too high in cals either – win! And thanks to some twitter buddies, they clued me in on mixing candy corn with roasted peanuts. Salty and sweet – life’s perfect combo
- Trader Joe’s maple cookies: Have you had them? If not, why not??? They are sinfully delicious and so perfect for the Fall. Who cares if I have slight addiction with maple – it just matches other addictions (like pumpkin), so I’m going to roll with it
- Frozen yogurt: I never craved ice cream like I do now. And with the pure genius that is self-serve froyo places, I’ve been in gluttonous bliss. I’m all about the toppings – cookie dough, heath, snickers….
- Chocolate: Normally I can say yay or nay to chocolate, but lately, my sweet tooth is on overload, so I love having just mini-Snickers (stolen from a coworker’s candy jar) or even a few chocolate chips just to get my fix. Last night I may had a Reeses PB pumpkin

So yeah, not all of these are snacks on the go, but Popchips certainly are and I’ve already stashed them a few places for those hunger pains. Errr, same as the candy corn
Gotta have the sweet-salty combo, ya know?

I am addicted to the Sahale snacks you find at Starbucks. Particularly the pomegranate cashews. I even ordered them from amazon!

My favorite is fruit, peanut butter, or cereal. Candy corn and peanuts are DANGEROUS. Sososo good! I am craving Froyo now:)

I haven’t tried the maple cookies yet but they sound to die for. I’m too cheap to buy PopChips often, but I really like the salt and vinegar – even though I don’t like that combo on regular chips!
I should have tried some of my hubby’s but I’m not usually a salt/vinegar fan either..now you’ve got me curious!
um I have a file cabinet for food. since we live in a paperless world, what else am i going to use my filing cabinet for?
It is full of instant oatmeal, granola bars, healthy instant soups that i lugged from Poland, VIA coffee for emergencies, and lots of tea! I try to keep items that won’t invite mice, so far so good, but yikes that’d be scary!!

Love pop chips. The bbq are definitely the best flavor. My favorite snacky food is Wheat Thins. I have to keep myslf from buying them too often because I will literally sit and devour an entire box.
I do love a good box of wheat thins myself! Actually now I’m craving some..darnit!

So I flew Jetblue over the weekend, and they offer Popchips as a snack option. I got to try 2 different flavors. SO SO GOOD! I’m totally going to be on the lookout at the grocery store. Lucky you with your big box!!!

I’m such a snacker! I love english muffins w/Laughing Cow, cottage cheese w/fruit, veggies w/hummus, bananas w/pb, and veggie chips w/cottage cheese. I haven’t tried Pop Chips but I entered a Pop Chip giveaway on a blog recently and am hoping I win!
I love veggie chips and crackers with cottage cheese — it’s a great swap for chips and dip!
Cinnamon Almonds from Trader Joes are my go-to snack! Or peanut butter m&ms…dangerously addicting! I used to have Pop Chips nearly EVERDAY in college, I liked the cheddar flavor.

I am always eating yogurt actually. So freaking good. I love ice cream too but when it gets too cold (like now) I want nothing to do with it.
Too cold? Lucky! It’s going to be 80′s here this weekend. BOO!
You know oddly enough I’m not much of a snacky person at work…but once I get home the snack monster comes out in full force! When I get home from work I always make a pre-dinner snack plate of goat cheese with crackers…or cereal/granola, that stuff is dangerous around me!
And the PB&J Pinkberry…yes please!! You know I will have fro yo (along with our fav toppings!) morning, noon, and night
At work, I’m not too bad either, though I have to keep reserves just in case
At night, I too turn into the snack monster. Once I get a taste of something, I go to town on that and everything else. Very dangerous!
I am such a candy corn addict! I was scared I’d have gestational diabetes due to the amount of candy corn I consume. Thankfully, that’s not the case.
I’ve been wanting to try Pop chips! All pregnancy I have been craving chips, and these would no doubt be the healthier option!

I’m trying to take a week hiatus from candy corn and it’s harder than I thought!
I will destroy an entire bag of tortilla chips & hummus in one sitting, especially in the company of a glass of wine. It’s a problem. But the most delicious kind.

I’m a HUGE snacker! I like to eat throughout the day. I don’t really care about eating big meals. I’d rather split up my calories throughout the day!

My current favorite snack, ESPECIALLY while pregnant is French Burnt Peanuts. Once again it is that salt AND sweet. So super delightful!
i havent had candy corn yet… im afraid ill eat the entire bag in one sitting!! hehe

I love Popchips! I didn’t realize they were from SF- who knew? My snacks have been all over the place lately- pita chips are always a good one, and I’m all about putting peanut butter on pretty much anything. I should really buy some of those single serving pouches.
I love to snack, but my snacks always turn to full on meals because I have almost zero self control. So I try to keep the grazing to a minimum. I’d say my favorite go to snack (right now) would be pumpkin butter on an english muffin. Mmmmm… pumpkin…

I’ve had pop chips once and I don’t remember the flavor. I think it might have been cheddar. So jealous that today is your Friday!
My favorite snack right now is popcorn! I found an organic brand and the husband and I share a bowl a few times a week. The whole bag only has around 140 calories and I only get in a few handfuls sicne my husband is a popcorn hoarder.
I also love fruit, apples, bananas and pears right now and of course candy corn and candy pumpkins top my list as well!
I love popcorn too…I get the bags that are about 210 and eat them as a main part of my dinner..I love prolonged snacking
Oh and yes, pears I’m LOVING right now!
I usual reach for sour cream and onion or plain, I loooove them. I still want to try the parmesan, still haven’t located a bag by me yet!
I’m a big snacker too. I like to eat something every few hours.
My favorite snacky thing – maple syrup roasted pecans. I rarely have them because I can not control myself. And anything with cheese of course.
I am so jealous of the pop chips. I am OBSESSED with them. I buy tons when they go on sale.
