Highlight photos of the week

This week went sooo sloooow, but all of a sudden we’re at Friday and I for one have a busy weekend ahead with the wedding at the SF Zoo – can I tell you just how amazing it will be?  Let’s just say there are giraffe feedings right after the ceremony Winking smile  How cool!

They say pictures speak a 1000 words, so I think I’ll skimp on the text for this Friday blog, and let the photos speak for themselves.  Sound good?

Alice’s Baby Shower:

Her mother in law hosted a gorgeous outdoor luncheon at her home.

Cheesecake bites on the left and AH-MAZING cupcakes on the right – I tried the vanilla which had a surprise strawberry crème center.  I die!  The bottom photo is my lunch plate: Dijon chicken, roll, mac’n’cheese, Chinese chicken salad, fresh berries.

The onesie decorating station – what a brilliant idea!  The stenciling were all hand drawn by Alison, the same girl whose wedding I am coordinating this Saturday.  Pretty great huh?

My sis in law sent the hubby and I a faboosh baby package filled with cute outfits and other odds and ends, like this book.  I love her Open-mouthed smile

Christina from Hungry Meets Healthy sent me chocolates – for no reason at all!  Talk about warming my heart Red heart  She sent me the PB and the Carmel Sea Salt – both from Sweeteeth.  These chocolates are unlike anything I’ve ever had.  So true to their descriptions and honoring the flavors, like the salt of the carmel and then capscasin in the PB.  Wow! Thanks Christina XOXXO

My plate at Sweet Tomatoes.  Have to say the best thing on it was the cornbread muffin.  The Dreyers fro yo at the end of the meal was also good.

Sept 21 2011

My hubby crashed my daily AM photo.  He’s never up when I leave so he doesn’t get to witness my silly outfit-of-the-day shots Smile

What are you doing this weekend?

Any great baby shower ideas for me???

  1. awwww so glad you liked the chocolate!! they are the best. if you have a crazy pregnancy craving and need more, let me know! :) happy friday!!! PS, that book looks awesome! you totally will be a milf.

  2. Photo bomb!! I meant to mention this before, but I don’t like Sweet Tomatoes either, which I feel is extremely rare in the blog world. What is it with that place?? My suggestion is to NOT play the smell the diaper and guess the candy game. Gross!

  3. Yes less is more with games, for sure.
A cute one we did at my cousin’s shower was “baby bingo” where you cross off the gift on a bingo card when the mom opens it so it keeps people involved during the present-opening.

At the baby shower for my cousin, we played no games. Instead we made scrapbook pages so all the new Mommy had to do was add the pictures. It kept everybody talking. Also it was nice because the Mom to be lives a couple hours away so the activity gave her more time for speaking with everyone!

  5. Dreyers??!! Yes please!! Was it Smores?! Heehee ;)

You’re looking gorgeous girl, loving the outfit. This Monday is our 3 year wedding anniversary so on Sunday we’re celebrating Part 1 of it. Part 2 will happen in a couple weekends for the SF Hornblower cruise!

Hope you have fun this weekend at the wedding! :)

  6. hahaha that’s quite the photo op for the hubs ;)

    that luncheon looks so lovely!

  7. Haha, I totally thought that you had your husband take your outfit photos for you! Go figure. Those onesies are adorable- and a great idea!

  8. Those onsies are super cute! I’ve only been to traditional showers, nothing too creative, but they were still fun!

  9. For my cousin’s baby shower we had a little note in the invite telling people to bring your favorite children’s book growing up to add to (insert baby name)’s book colletction. It was really cute & we asked that everyone write a little note for baby (insert name) to read in the future. I thought it was a really cute idea..and I know that my cousin loved it!

  10. Those are some awesome looking cupcakes :)
Nothing much planned this weekend except relaxing from a busy week of exams!
    Have a great weekend!! :)
