Shoes-Day!

I’m so glad you all liked the baby name – thank you for the positive feedback.  We sort of are in love with it Smile

Every girl needs some LBP: Little Black Pumps

Sept 16 2011 shoes

They may look a little boring, but I assure you they are actually quite cute.  Patent leather black 3.5” pumps by Me Too.  The best part is the tread on the bottoms, which means no banana peelin’ for this girl Smile with tongue out  They retailed for $99, but I scored them at Marshalls for $34.99.  I saw them one week and convinced myself I didn’t need them only to return a week later and buy them.  And well, frankly I had to donate my other LBPs (Report black pumps seen here) because they really killed my feet.  Sept 16 2011 1

I paired my LBPs with this new Lilac brand maternity dress in Fall colors.  Love the soft cotton jersey. The addition of a black cardi and a woven / 3 tone metal belt polished the look.

And you can see the shoes again in the photo above which is what I wore to my friend’s Alice’s baby shower.  Rockin’ that 80’s leggings/tunic look once again Smile

How many LBPs do you own?

Are you a fan of transitioning sundresses into Autumn wear?

  1. I love that dress! Where did you get it?

I think I have 3 or 4 pairs of LBPs! I haven’t been wearing heels that often but with that too cute maternity dress I sure would be!!! : )

  2. I love love that dress you wore to lunch, absolutely gorgeous!! And I love the transition of summer dresses to autumn, and do it by pairing it with knee high boots, like you did Friday! :)

I have one too many LBP (love that term – too cute!), but I guess you can never have too many of those, right?!

  3. A girl can’t have too many LBPs! patent, wedges, high, low… variety is the spice of life ;) I really like these. Not too high, not too low, just right. I love your comment about banana peelin, i hate when shoes have no tread! Especially in the icy winter… that should not be allowed on boots.

  4. I’m not sure I have any LBPs! I have some black peep toes (from your closet), but that’s it. Mayhaps I need to go to Marshalls or DSW and fix this dire situation. :)

  5. I really need new black peep toes. I destroyed my old ones and they were kind of kitten-heel-ish and I need some vampy ones ;)

  6. black pumps are totally necessary. and so are tunics & leggings! LOVE

  7. I love patent leather ANYTHING – and definitely keep wearing my sun dresses with cardigans in the fall!

  8. Ugh, I definitely have a shoe problem. Shoes and purses…my shopping kryptonite. :)

  9. I love those! And for $34.99 – that’s a steal!!! I own 3 pairs of LBPs…and I could go for more. :) Probably my favorite “kind” of shoe to own.

  10. I’ve got 2 pairs of black heels — one pair has a rounded toe that I wear to work and the other pair has a pointier toe and I wear those to more special events.

  11. I totally agree- black pumps are probably even more necessary than an LBD. I have 2 pairs (one peep-toe), which says something considering how much of a shoe minimalist I am!

  12. Ok, seriously, I cannot even tell you are pregnant in those pictures- you are looking AWESOME girl! & I LOVE that maturnity dress- SO SO cute & the fall colors are hot!

  13. I’m honestly still in search of the right pair of LBPs. I have some that are ok but I don’t love them so I hardly ever where them. Actually I hardly ever wear heels haha

And I’m ALL about transitioning sundresses for fall. I like to get more mileage out of them!

  14. Cannot go wrong with some nice black heels. My dream heels are some black Christian Louboutin black pumps….someday maybe…. ;)

  15. i only own 1 pair of LDP but i’d love to get a pair of daffodil loubs! i’m the queen of transition i seriously whore my wardrobe year round! tights and cardigans are ace!

  16. I own four pairs of LBP. There is never a situation where they aren’t appropriate!

  17. I love transitioning summer dresses into fall wear – since I own a ton of dresses I pretty much have to!
