Hi Friends — I’m headed home to Cali where it doesn’t rain as much as Boston
As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, the Bestie and I had to do a little shopping. You know how it is. After we hit up the mall, I suggested we check out the local Marshalls. It was imperative that I scoped out their shoe selection, should they have something different than what’s stocked in Cali.
I’m pretty glad we went. We both scored some new shoes.
In fact…the same shoes!
We have no shame. We may be 31 years old, but will still buy the same articles of clothing. We both have such trouble finding ballet flats, because, well, we’re generally not a fan. However, we both thought these were pretty fab and super comfy.
These Guess ballet flats have a 1.25″ wedge, which is what sold us. They normally retail for $65 and we scored them for $35 — not too shabby, eh?
I have a feeling as my belly grows, I may just want to wear some flatter shoes…maybe. I’m not committing yet!
Do you buy the same pieces of clothing as your friends?
If you wear ballet flats, do you go for flat-flat or something with a wee bit of a wedge?

Investing in a few pair of flats is a good idea for later. I think you’ll welcome them at some point.
Very cute, and very shiny! (my favorite)
I’m a big fan of flats, but that probably comes along with the 6’1″ thing…. heels make me sometimes look a little bit like a giant drag queen height!
CUTE! I heart Guess- but we all know this already… lol
I like flats. The heels are always preferred, but it’s nice to have something to skip around the city in!
Now I think of you everytime I buy a pair of Guess
I have no shame in having the same items as my friends, we can’t all help having good taste
I prefer when my girlfriend wears flats. She rarely does because she claims heels are much more dressy. However, a night out in heels leads to complaints about foot pain, sore ankles, lack of mobility, etc… Therefore I support the flats movement!
I am with Kasey on this one Ty!
I usually go with flat ballet flats, but would be open to a small heel if I found some!
I typically don’t buy the same clothes as my friends, but that’s because we don’t shop together that often since we live so far apart!
Not friends, but definitely my sister…we think it’s fun!
And I love the look of these shoes – super cute and comfy! I think I may have to pay Marshall’s a visit.
This may sound weird–but growing up I had a friend who would literally freak out if I had anything that was the same as her. She was a bit of a control freak, lol. Subsequently, I find it weird if a friend and I have the same dress or shoes.
And I love flats. I only really like them with skinny jeans or dresses with tights, though. I feel they make my legs look a bit stubby worn with dresses sans tights. Ah, the curse of being long waisted, lol.
Freak out? Really! Bummer!
I agree that flats can look really cute with skinny jeans!
I would prefer the ballet flats with a small heel since I am only 5’1! I need any kind of help I can get! =)
Yeah – I would def purchase some cute flats for later on in your pregnancy (just in case!) Save your back!
I love flats, mostly because I dont really work in a heel friendly environment. Wedges are fine, but my super high heels just dont do well at work. Its sad.
I love the shoes – especially for the price. I refuse to spend a lot of money on flats because I feel like they should be cheaper since theres so much less shoe.
haha Leah totally agree
I love wedges and Marshalls – double win!
I like flat-flats. You and your friend look like sisters!
Aww thanks — we get that a lot
oh you’re never too old to buy the same clothes/shoes as a friend or sister! my friend and i who have birthdays a day apart wore skirts, she bought us for our birthday weekend 8 years ago in college, for our bday lunch this year. it was cheesy but a fun way to look back at how long we’ve shared birthday weekends!
Love it Mila!
My best friend and I always buy the same stuff! Sometimes we even buy the same things when we’re not together because we have such similar styles!
I love a little wedge. It’s still comfy, but it’s just enough to accent your legs in skirts or capris… or to not make your pants drag on the ground.
YES! I hate when my pants drag … almost as much as I hate highwaters!
I like aweek bit of a wedge but have rocked flat flats…esp when pregnant!
I also buy duplicate clothes/shoes even when we’re far apart! S says her closet sends me subliminal messages. Hehehehe
I buy the same stuff as my friends still too, I think you just end up developing the same tastes for certain things
Plus after the age of like 16, who really cares if someone else has the same item as you. People that still get mad about that crack me up.
Cuteness overload! It rained a lot in Boston? It’s been so nice herw1
It poured on Sunday in Boston..fail!
I have bought the same articles as the besties but not very often because I have a “unique” style persay. Those shoes are adorable. I essentally only wear heels (not even kitten heels), boots or flip flops. True life.
love those flats! they are so cute…and look comfy! and what a steal
LOVE Ballet Flats and these are Smokin’ Cute!!!!! Flats are my go to shoe since I’m a giant over here
xxoo
