MY approach to WIAW continues to be showing highlights of what I ate since my daily meals are seriously boring.
So thanks to Jenn at Peas and Crayons, here we go again:
Chocolate Chip Fudge Oreo Bars (recipe coming later this week)
Smartdogs in a Steamfresh Cheddar Broccoli Pasta mix (quite good!)
Cinn raisin preztels (I found ‘em finally!). They taste best dipped in Biscoff spread
A few weeks ago, I found a deal on Fitsugar.com for personalizing your own protein bar. My intrigue trumped the desire to number crunch the cost per resultant bar and I went for it. The company is called YouBars.com and you can literally personalize every aspect of your bar-to-be all the while seeing the tally of calories, protein grams, sugar content, etc. It’s pretty dang awesome.
My final bar included the following ingredients: Organic PB, Almonds, Organic Agave Nectar, Organic Clover Honey, Organic Raisins, Organic Coconut, Organic Rice Protein, Soy Protein, Whey Protein, Chia Seeds, Granola (organic oats, barley, etc), Crunchy Rice Cereal, Cinnamon, Organic Maca Powder
The result is a tasty, crunchy, peanut buttery bar that comes in at 219 calories and 12g of protein – and this my friends is Shan’s Yum Bar (laugh at the name, I was feeling uncreative )
