Tis another Monday — are you ready for it? I don’t mind them so much mostly because I thrive on routine and anything that keeps me busy throughout the day is a plus in my book. Besides, I had a pretty good weekend
It started with dinner with friends on Friday night at a (new to me place) Mario’s in Mountain View. This place is tucked away and you’d have no idea it was here unless word of mouth helped ya out. The food was great. I mean, how can you not love a place that offers you piping hot, doughy, cheesy garlic bread a minute after entering? I was a bad blogger and didn’t snap pics, but trust me when I say my personal pizza topped with onions and jalapenos was De-lish. We will definitely be back.
Saturday was spent with my friend Rachel bracing the crazy torrential downpours (never happens in Cali in June) and shopping at the Gilroy outlets, which I hadn’t been to in close to 5 years.
Well, you know I have a minor addiction when it comes to shoes, right?
I had no luck on my shopping excursion Friday after work so I was definitely ready to make some purchases Saturday. The result: no shoes. None. I found some potentially cute shoes at Nine West, but they weren’t the black sandals I was looking for for work and they weren’t a new pair of brown or gold gladiators to replace my other ones that lost a stone on top.
BUT, I prevailed and found a pretty darn cute pair on Endless.com that I purchased yesterday AM
They’ll be showing up on Shoes-Day soon!
Finding shoes at the outlet mall was a bust, but finding purses was not. I think I have a new addiction:
There may or may not be a 3rd purse lurking around too
I needed a small black purse that I could stick in my carry-on for when I travel for work and then, I’ve been on the lookout for a great pink purse for ages. It fit the bill. And a few ladies in the store were coveting it, but I got the last one. (Sorry, I’m not sorry).
I think I now have proof of a brewing coffee addiction (haha, ya like my pun
):
Since I couldn’t leave Marshalls empty handed on Friday, I acquired my latest coffee addition – peanut butter cup. Oh yes, yes it exists and it smells like pure goodness. I can’t wait to open it. Also from Marshalls is the Vermont maple nut (to die for) and the raspberry chocolate. The chocolate macadamia is from Kauai; the Shenandoah Joe’s from Charlottesville; and the turtle from World Market. The question is, how long will it take for me to go through all of this?
When I was doing a little baking yesterday, I determined that these could easily become a new addiction:
I’ll post the baked products later this week (oh and Zach’s coworkers, if you’re reading, you should see them in the office today! Hunt him down and make him share!)
Tell me, what are your addictions? shoes? purses? granola bars? jeans? cocktail rings (<—that’s one of mine too)
I have a general addiction to Oulet shopping – does that count?
Of course it counts!
Hahah, I love this! I have a stockpile of magazines, luna bars, and candy!!!!
Ooo I have a stockpile of candy too
I have a mild addiction to trashy TV shows, if for no other reason than keeping my DVR full. And of course I share most of your addictions as well (shoes, purses, coffee). My discount coach purse is the new love of my life!
Heck to the yes on trashy reality tv shows
Addiction=pancakes haha. As far as clothing wise I have been addicted to dresses lately as I have bought about 1000 in the last few days haha.
You and pancakes are inseparable
when it comes to food, my current addiction are smoothies. when it comes to shopping my addictions are typical girl ones but I can’t ever say “enough already” to purses, shoes, and any type/brand of beauty & hair products!
Beauty products are a weakness of mine too
when it comes to food my current addiction is smoothies. when it comes to shopping, my addictions are typical girly ones. i can’t seem to just say “enough already” to shoes, hand bags or any type of beauty & hair products!
Totally addicted to purses and nail polish. It’s kind of a problem! Foodwise, I don’t know what I would do without chocolate in all forms. And froyo, got to have that!
Nail polish is like eye candy. I get pedis every 3 weeks and have such fun deciding my colors =)
Shoesssssss! Definilty shoes.. but lately purses, I just bought a big cross body military style bag yesterday and am on the hunt for a small leather wristlet for everyday to toss in and out of my gym bag!
Sounds funky and cute!
Oh I love the purses – I have an addiction to purses too. Theyre the first thing I look at whenever I go shopping.
Shoes are my first go-to…big surprise…
I would have to say shoes top my list of addictions, along with chocolate!
Have a great day!
A shoe gal..love it!
I am currently addicted to saltines and jelly. Sad but true.
Hmm, never had the saltines jelly combo, but I imagine it’s pretty darn good!
I want to be addicted to Coach purses but I just can’t get myself to spend that much on a purse! I do love them though.
I’m currently addicted to chips/salsa. I always have been and always will be.
So is my hubby..he eats them every day!
Well, I despise shopping but I do buy too many purses and dresses! As for foods, there are a lot of foods that I can’t even have in the house. Although I am addicted to protein shakes and smoothies! I drink them alllll the time.
Smoothies in summertime –can’t beat ‘em!
That’s one of the most pleasant outlooks on Mondays ever! That’s also quite a shoe collection you’ve got there. I’m pretty much addicted to cookouts right now. It’s becoming an every-weekend activity.
Haha, you are too funny with that wall of shoes! I definitely have a coffee addiction and a chocolate addiction, but that’s pretty standard. I’m also pretty much addicted to beer gardens. I’ll stop for a beer pretty much any day of the week for a beer at any time if there’s outdoor seating!
Sadly that’s just one of my walls of shoes..whoops
My addictions are dresses and chocolate. They don’t really go together, but I’m still obsessed!
Oh my gosh, all those shoe boxes! I’d be in heaven!
And to think, I’m always shopping for more
PS Dresses and chocolate totally go together
Oh I am addicted to purses (used to be addicted to shoes) and dresses! I cannot resist a cute, summery dress! I’m also big on earrings!
I’m not much of a shopper BUT when I do indulge, I gravitate towards home decor stuff – mirrors, plants, paintings, rugs, you-name-it!
And thanks for the heads up on the baked goods.. But in the interest of full disclosure – we did get a note first thing this morning.
I’m glad he said something..no go eat some!
Um yes, I definitely have a purse addiction. And an old purse hoarding addiction apparently because I just cleaned out so many worn out designer purses from my closet. They were expensive, I can’t bear to toss them! My mom has that pink purse in gold!!
Your Mom has good taste
You sure weren’t joking about the shoe addiction. I totally bought 2 purses at the Coach outlets back in November…so you’re not alone haha.
I’m not even sure what my addiction is right now…that could be a good thing, or a pathetic thing lol
I think it’s a good thing…
I have so many addictions…I wouldn’t even know where to begin!! lol
I have a big time watch addiction. I have my eye on this new Michael Kors one that I keep seeing everywhere!
Oooo I just bought an MK watch that I LOVE!
Aww, all your addictions are so cute. You have great taste, girl!
