Christmas is the time of giving right? That’s why I’m going to give you 2 pairs of shoes for Shoes-Day Tuesday
Not impressed. Eh, sorry. If I was really into giving, I’d buy my most loyal readers a pair of shoes. Not that wold be a giveaway!
Saturday night was the hubby’s Christmas Party. And get this, it was the Museum of Computer History. Shoot me now. I’ll get to that in a moment.
The first task at hand was trying to rally from being up all Friday night pukin’ my guts out (now that’s a lovely visual). But I’m a trooper and thought maybe if I looked good, I’d feel good. I think matters flip flopped a wee bit because when you feel bad, sometimes you look…um, well not your best.
No matter, we’ll take you through the line up anyway.
Two-toned dress is from H&M and turned out to be an excellent purchase. I’ve even wore it to a wedding this year! And look how nice the shoes matched the dress.
I found these at Marshalls because that is my shoe mecca heaven as of late. These Charles David’s were originally $100 and I got them for just 29 bucks!
The champagne satin is such a great color to work as a neutral and elongates the leg, even considering the ankle strap.
Are these the shoes that made it through the history of computers?
Nope.
It was raining. Hard. Satin and rain do not like each other.
So I changed the look just a bit (and gained a hubby and a dog for the photo):
Ilya would probably like me to tell you that he took this photo. It’s nice having a live-in house guest so you don’t have to use the camera timer
These shoes were a bit more weather proof:
These shoes are Michael Antonia, size 7.5 and are not my own. They’re the besties. And she forgot to take them when she moved to Boston. Shhhh
Actually I think they may be bequeathed to me because she said they hurt her.
Are they comfortable? Mer, not reeeaaaly, but they are cute! And add some funk to the dress, right?
As for the party, well the venue was nice. I spent 99% of it near the bar or at the dinner table. You may wonder who drinks and eats after being sick all night? This girl. Yeah I’m weird like that. Needless to say, the wonders of the history of computers will remain a mystery. Should I ever want death by boredom an exhilarating daytime activity, I’ll visit again
Do you share shoes with a bestie?
If your company had a work party, where was it held? Mine was at the Hyatt, but I didn’t go this year. Last year I crashed it and that was pretty epic

I’m so glad the Michael Antonios are getting some good use! And yes, the Computer History Museum is not the best place to have a party. I think we should start a cross-country shoe exchange. It’ll be like Netflix… use for a week or two, send back, get new pair. Because I’m already tired of my winter boot selection. Well, not tired of all of them, but I can’t wear the awesome ones *every* day.
That would be awseome to have a cross-country shoe exchange..whta would we call it?
I just located the Marshall’s around me. I knew where the TJ Maxx was, but lo and behold, I found a new store! Hooray!
Marshalls has some sawweeet shoes..better than TJMaxx
Love BOTH shoes! MY bestie is a size 5… I”m a 7. Doesnt work. But my sister in law and I have started sharing! I”m actually wearing a pair of converse today that she bought and found abit too small! Score!
My party was on a boat. Awkwardddddd
Nice!
Yikes, sorry you were sick! My bestie wears a 5 and I wear a 7 and the one time I tried to wear her shoes I ended up with bruised toenails
Never again!
Ouch! a size 7 into a size 5 is a a bit tight!
Your comments and posts make me happy
. Too funny – I was going to write my last post on “I want Shanna’s Shoes for Christmas, Charlie Brown”
You are so GORGEOUS!
Aww, thanks Jennifer…are you a size 7.5? I’ll send you a pair
I am!! HAHA!
…but that’s in sneakers
Not sure about the heels…And I’ve yet to send YOU something – address please?
Love the shoes!! I dont have anyone to share shoes with anymore. I’ve only ever had one friend with the same size feet as me. Its sad.
Oh that is sad =(
LOVE the satin shoes!!! The Marshalls by us has some great ones, too. I’ve spent a pretty penny there…plus they have Michael Kors/Coach/Dooney bags; its a dangerous place.
Both of those shoes are gorge, I just snagged a SWEET pair of Chinese Laundry black suede platform pumps from the Maxx marked dowm from 90 to 35! I was stoked to say the least
Way to be a hottie! You look awesome! Adorable family photo
Loving the H&M dress! Even if the history of computers was a bust, your outfit wasn’t!
I wish I had someone to share shoes with! I love those black ones, they are fab eventhough they don’t make your feet feel fabulous!
