Shoes-Day! (x2)

Christmas is the time of giving right? That’s why I’m going to give you 2 pairs of shoes for Shoes-Day Tuesday :)   Not impressed.  Eh, sorry.  If I was really into giving, I’d buy my most loyal readers a pair of shoes.  Not that wold be a giveaway!

Saturday night was the hubby’s Christmas Party.  And get this, it was the Museum of Computer History.  Shoot me now.  I’ll get to that in a moment.

The first task at hand was trying to rally from being up all Friday night pukin’ my guts out (now that’s a lovely visual).  But I’m a trooper and thought maybe if I looked good, I’d feel good.  I think matters flip flopped a wee bit because when you feel bad, sometimes you look…um, well not your best.

No matter, we’ll take you through the line up anyway.

Christmas party ready

Two-toned dress is from H&M and turned out to be an excellent purchase.  I’ve even wore it to a wedding this year!  And look how nice the shoes matched the dress.

Sexy satin sandals

I found these at Marshalls because that is my shoe mecca heaven as of late.  These Charles David’s were originally $100 and I got them for just 29 bucks!  :D   The champagne satin is such a great color to work as a neutral and elongates the leg, even considering the ankle strap.

Are these the shoes that made it through the history of computers?

Nope.

It was raining.  Hard.  Satin and rain do not like each other.

So I changed the look just a bit (and gained a hubby and a dog for the photo):

Family photo

Ilya would probably like me to tell you that he took this photo.  It’s nice having a live-in house guest so you don’t have to use the camera timer ;)

These shoes were a bit more weather proof:

And black sandal for the win

These shoes are Michael Antonia, size 7.5 and are not my own.  They’re the besties.  And she forgot to take them when she moved to Boston.  Shhhh ;)   Actually I think they may be bequeathed to me because she said they hurt her.

Are they comfortable?  Mer, not reeeaaaly, but they are cute!  And add some funk to the dress, right?

As for the party, well the venue was nice.  I spent 99% of it near the bar or at the dinner table.  You may wonder who drinks and eats after being sick all night?  This girl.  Yeah I’m weird like that.  Needless to say, the wonders of the history of computers will remain a mystery.  Should I ever want death by boredom an exhilarating daytime activity, I’ll visit again ;)

Do you share shoes with a bestie?

If your company had a work party, where was it held?  Mine was at the Hyatt, but I didn’t go this year.  Last year I crashed it and that was pretty epic :-P
