No post yesterday as it was a busy busy day, but I managed to snap a few iphone pics to document the day a wee bit. First things first, I made OO (overnight oats) for my Gma Thurs night and she ate them first thin Friday morning and LOVED them Woohooo! She’s another pumpkin fanatic like me so I think the pumpkin butter drew her in like a moth to a flame!
Then onward we were to go for a lovely morning hike with my dog Naava and my bestie Andrea and her dog Lola and new addition Lacie. 7 women on a hike = sweet! We successfully tuckered out the dogs, but I think I needed a bit more exertion. No biggie, sometimes the company is worth more than the workout We tried to capture a pic of the dogs at the end of the hike but it was like getting babies to smile for a photographer.
Home for some showering then off to Marshalls and TJ’s for the Floridians While I was at Marshalls, I saw high protein peanut butter honey granola. Yes, please! Can’t wait to nom on this! It’s the official granola of the Ironman Race — surely this means after eating it I should have freakish athletic ability!
Then off we went to celebrate my Gma’s Birthday on Santana Row. Oh my, was this an adventure….we started at the Vintage Wine Bar in the middle of Santana Row sipping some Pinot and Burgundy’s out on the patio. Well vino + me + bestie + Gma + Momo = potential shenanigans Before we knew it, we had befriended a nearby table of gentlemen were celebrating an engagement. Well Andrea and I went in wedding planning mode and were all about the networking. Who knows where the hours went, but we were certainly had more than a little bit of vino. But alas it was time for dinner at the Village California Bistro and Wine Bar. Yummy sourdough bread to start, and then I actually had a delish pork chop which I rarely get. Gotta say that I think pork has way more flavor than chicken. Complimentary berry cobbler for the Birthday girl Gma and then home.
I think there may be photos, but I need to preview them before uploading ;-P
We were going to take Spinning this morning, but are feeling lazy have changed the plans to walk the Stanford Dish. Ta-ta for now!
